Sofia MENAR FilmFest to host 'Forty Seven'

The 12 edition of the Sofia MENAR Film Festival in the Bulgarian capital is to play host to Iranian Film ‘Forty seven’.

Co-directed by Ahmad Otraghchi and Alireza Tabrizi, ‘Forty seven’ will be screened at the competition section of the 2021 Sofia MENAR fest, to be held on January 14-31.  

‘Forty seven’ narrates the story of three women from different walks of life who pass several challenges and all reach one single spot after many ups and downs.

Mohammad-Reza Ghaffari, Ehsan Shamlou, Hamid-Reza Azarang, Rima Raminfar, Shaqayeq Farahani, Ladan Mostofi, Mehdi Ahmadi, and Sheida Khaliq are among the cast list of the film.

On December 25, 2020, the flick will mark its fourth international screening at the 4th LIFFT Film Festival in India.

The Sofia MENAR Film Festival makes audience familiar with the culture and traditions of the Islam world. MENAR stands for the Middle East and North Africa Region, and the festival spotlights top cinema productions from these areas.
